Service Learning Activities

-Recycling- Strong Vincent students recycle newspapers, paper, aluminum cans, and ink cartridges. Students are responsible for organizing the recycling program and weekly collecting and transporting of recycled materials.

Frontier park Clean Up- Strong Vincent Students participate in cleaning up Frontier Park and Cascade Creek. Our students work along with the local fishing club the S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie in an effort to clean debris prior to the opening of Pennsylvania’s trout season.

Cascade Creek Water Quality Testing- Strong Vincent students use a variety of measurements to test cleanliness of Cascade Creek. Students then report collected data to the PDE.

Bayfront Highway Clean Up- Students at Strong Vincent, with the assistance of PennDot, collect discarded trash along the school grounds and the bayfront highway promoting a clean and healthy environment.

Caring Closet- Strong Vincent students weekly volunteer to help maintain facility at Student Service Learning Leadership Center.
