The  Caring Closet CARING BEYOND THE HOLIDAYS

                In conjunction with the ESD's Homeless Program (HSP), the Erie School District’s Student Leadership Center has opened the CARING CLOSET. Through community donations, the Caring Closet provides clothing for needy  families. There is no charge for the clothing, however a referral is necessary. Referral cards can be obtained from a participating agency or one of Erie’s public schools.
 
 

    Throughtout the months of January to September of 2003, the volunteers at the Caring Closet have served a total of 636 clients. Breaking the numbers down into categories gave us:
