In
partnership with the Erie School District's Student Service Learning and
Leadership Center, WICU TV 12 and Media Play conduct an annual campaign
seeking clothing and financial support to benefit those less fortunate
in our community.
Participating community agencies are as follows:
| Community House, Inc. | 459-5853 | Residential drug and alcohol treatment services for pregnant women, women with children, or single women. |
| Community Shelter Services | 455-4369 | Offers temporary/emergency shelter, low income, single room occupancy, and other support services to homeless and formerly homeless individuals and families. |
| SafeNet | 455-1774 | Provides a variety of domestic violence services including hotline, counseling, shelter, transitional housing, legal advocacy, medical intervention for domestic violence and school-based prevention. |
| The Refuge | 454-6088 | The Refuge is a shelter designated to house seven families with their children. During the family's stay, approximately 30 days-- food, clothing, and counseling services are provided for adults and children. Up to seven families can stay as guests in the 28 bed facility. The staff at The Refuge assistes and empowers all residents who come through their door. |
| Mercy Center for Women | 455-4577 | Offers transitional shelter for women, referrals to agencies, and life skills classes. |
| House of Healing | 480-8738 | Residential program designed to deter women from repeat offenses and break the cycle of family crime, violence and abuse. |
| Safe Horizons Services for Women, Inc. | 438-2675 | Free services for victoms of domestic violenc including shelter, counseling, support group, hotline, legal advocacy and court transportation, referrals, children's prograams, and public education programs. |
