The Federal Government supports education through various projects and grant opportunities. The Title II, Eisenhower Math/Science Project provides money to schools for staff development activities for teachers, primarily in the areas of math, science and technology.

Title VI Project is an Innovative Program grant that provides supplemental moneys for activities that the district feels are supportive of student needs. Our Title VI funding provides technology acquisition for our schools and supports the Penn State Educational Partnership Program. This after-school tutorial program is currently in Wilson and Wayne Middle Schools and Central High School. Students are assisted with their homework by teachers and college students from Penn State-Behrend. Students also have opportunities to learn with the adult mentors from the General Electric Mentorship Program.
