School Wide Social Skills Program

	At the request of the teachers and the principal at Edison School, the School Wide Social Skills Program was established. This program allows the teachers to individually choose any of the sixty (60) pro-social skills from Skillstreaming the Elementary School Child, or the instructors may choose the skills to present. Each lesson lasts approximately an hour and includes role playing, group discussions, activities, skill building games and lecture. Pro-Social Skills such as Alternatives to Aggression, Making Friends, Self- Control, Listening, Following Instructions, Relaxing, Staying out of Fights, Good Sportsmanship, Responding to Teasing and general values development have all been presented.
